Open the rubber cap to expose the exhaust hole, through which you can see inside the battery. The exhaust valve base of some batteries can be unscrewed. You can unscrew the exhaust valve base without opening the rubber exhaust valve. Some batteries also have some padding around the rubber cap.

Open the cover and check whether there is dryness and the amount of water inside the small hole, that is, whether the battery is short of water. The battery plate is wrapped with white fiberglass wool, which should be moist under normal circumstances. Use a dropper to inhale distilled water and pour it into the battery through the vent hole. Cover the water-filled battery with a breathable cover to prevent dust from falling into the vent. Double distilled water for medical use. The principle of hydration is to err on the side of less than too much. If it is not enough, you can add more. If it is too much, the specific gravity of the acid will decrease, and the battery capacity will be insufficient. Inexperienced people can master 5mL per hole, and use glass, plastic or other straws for rehydration tools. It is recommended to use medical disposable syringes, which are easy to use and easy to measure. Do not use any metal-containing utensils as hydration tools. The metal needle of the syringe should be removed and put into a plastic tube before use.
